This award was followed by gold awards for their Rose of Mourvèdre (2021) and Tannat (2020). The Rose was light and crisp with a hint of floral, while the Tannat was full-bodied with a balanced mix of dark fruit and spice.

About Adega Vinho Winery

The Adega Vinho Winery was founded by Andy Bilger.  This was Andy’s dream from the time he was about 16 years of age.  Andy and his wife Elena located the property in Stonewall Texas and began building the business in 2015.  Andy always wanted a family business so they invited Michael Bilger, Andy’s brother, to participate in building Adega Vinho.  Michael is now the  Head Winemaker and partner in Adega Vinho.  Other family members help with special events and projects.

The Bilger’s are committed to producing quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Texas Hill Country. Adega Vinho Winery produces a variety of red, white, rosé, and dessert wines. The winery also offers tastings, tours, and special events throughout the year.

The best way to experience Adega Vinho wines is at the tasting room and vineyard at 1000 S. Ranch Road 1623, Stonewall, Texas.
