Well, there’s probably no need to spend hours reading page after page of us discussing the tiny details we obsess over. However, we do feel there are four pillars that make up our approach to sustainability. You can read about them below.

The willingness to have an open mind to better ways of doing things in the vineyard and winery is paramount to us. Whether there is a groundbreaking new technique, streamlined ways to refine our workloads, etc, embracing new ideas simply makes sense to us. We believe if you’re going to be truly amazing at something you must evolve as you go.
We use a lot of organic products and low-intervention methods. We realize that literally everything we do in the vineyard will affect not just the current vintage, but the entire lifespan of the vineyard. Irrigation schedules, compost teas, snow pea cover crops, hand tending and harvesting of the estate fruit, beneficial insects we bring into the vineyard… these are all decisions that have long-term effects on the entire operation. We try to keep it green and stay low intervention.

The hands-off style of winemaking we adhere to means we’re not going to intervene with things unless we absolutely have to during the winemaking process. We much prefer the vintage and vineyard to tell the story. Our goal is not to create a commercial product that tastes the same every year.
TBD to keep it real! We don’t know what the future holds for our family-run vineyard and winery, but we try to keep our minds open to better ways, greener ways, and more earth friendly ways of doing things. We cannot wait to see how we evolve with time and embrace new potential ideas and methods.
